Week 8 Evidence

    What is evidence?

Evidence is used in police stations in order to prove a case. Without evidence, the charges would be left to hearsay. Evidence plays a important role in ensuring that justice is done, and that the truth is upheld.

Another word for evidence is proof. Proof of our experience is important to facilitate and strengthen our e-portfolio to the audience. Evidence helps to portray details and gives the audience the opportunity to see into your past experiences.

  1. How will your e-Portfolio demonstrate your interdisciplinarity?

  2. How do you plan to portray your strengths?

  3. What is the audience / purpose you're thinking of targeting?

  4. How do you envision your e-Portfolio looking like? What about it would you like to stand out?

  5. What kind of evidence are you planning to use in your e-portfolio?

Every one has been giving great feedback! Keep up the good work!

So far, this focus has been when in reference to the e-portfoilio, more about the content within that we have a foundation within our portfolios linked with ourselves, and we can now take time to express ourselves throughout our portfolio by the personalization’s that we choose and now take further control of directing where want our vision of our portfolios to head. As we began to personalize, and start focusing in ,such as a specific audience and purpose, we are now making our accomplishments personalized.
So the question comes down to this, how are you going to decided how to decide how to express your e-porfolios In different ways? What do you want to stand out in yours? Is there certain evidence that you plan to use? How are you going to direct this to a specific audience and purpose? Who is that going to be?

  3. My e-portfolio will demonstrate my disciplines by showing what they are and what I have done with them. It will have an array of ways to show and display my disciplines, this way they get a feeling for what I have completed. I plan on portraying my strengths by the way I present them. I will elaborate and make a big deal of my strengths, so they will seem to be very important to the reader. The audience I will be targeting, will be prospect employers in the business world. The purpose we be for employer to see all that I have accomplished. I envision my portfolio to have all of my education backgrounds, work backgrounds, and interesting things about me, like my life story. I envision my portfolio standing out by having something no one else portfolio has, and that is the stuff that I accomplished in my life. Lastly, the evidence I would use to prove that I am outstanding student and person would be all the information given to the employer about me. It should have everything that I have done over my life in my e-portfolio. The evidence will be right in there face, it will be easy to look at, and great to read. Hopefully with and employer looking at my portfolio they will see how lucky they would be to have me!

  4. @Sammy you stay so strong and positive through your post, which is awesome.:) Especially the ending when you speak about how luck they would be to have you by reviewing your portfolio. As I read this I began to think about my own journey and in a sort use it as a starting point to build down upon that thought rather than add up to find what it is were looking for. (sounds kind of confusing sorry )Of course keeping the doors open and not just building down from that statement but ways to make them luckier with the foundation we already have so far.

I am planning to target possible employers with the purpose to show my competitive advantage and how integral I am because of all my academic and personal experience.

  6. 1. My e-portfiolio will demonstrate my interdisciplinary by showing my an array of areas i have studied and done work in. The audience will see what i have learned and how ive put that into real work experiences.
    2. I plan on showing my strengths by bolding and underlining certain things. By doing this i grab the readers attention. I will only do this to things that i have done that i feel are extremely important and special.
    3. The audience i want to target is any of my future employers.

  7. 1) My e-Portfolio will not only demonstrate my interdisciplinarity, but it will cause my target audience to believe that I am the only possible option for the position I seek because no one else will have such a well rounded background of knowledge and experience.
    2) I will portray my strengths throughout my e-Portfolio with honesty and integrity. My e-Portfolio will display all my strengths in a humble, yet determined manner to give the best impression to my target audience.
    3) The audience I aim to target is a variety of different magazines to which I will hopefully obtain an internship and valuable work experience.
    4) When envisioning my e-Portfolio I see a professional collection of attributes that are tied together with my own personal charm and charisma. I would like my determination and educational successes to stand out and over shadow my (present) lack of work in the field.
    5) The evidence in my e-Portfolio will include degree documentations from my education, educational awards, and my traveling photos for cultural experiences and references.

Your goal for your portfolio to be detail oriented, organized, and straight forward is a great quality most employers will appreciate. I also believe that a portfolio shoud represent how you have been shaped from your educational and personal experiences. Well done!

I think it is a wise choice to use text such as Underlining to demonstrate importance. Some people underestimate the power of a little BOLD action.

  10. 1. How will your e-Portfolio demonstrate your interdisciplinarity?
    2. How do you plan to portray your strengths?

    4. How do you envision your e-Portfolio looking like? What about it would you like to stand out?
    5. What kind of evidence are you planning to use in your e-portfolio?

    1. My e-portfolio is going to provide evidence of my interdisciplinarity with the help of my education areas and minor. Classes are going to demonstrate it exactly. Also my work experience is going to add more proof of several skills that I acquired.
    2. Again it is going to be done with the lists of my classes and my duties on my previous jobs.
    3. The main target is going to be employers. The reason I created this e-portfolio(besides being an assignment for this class ;) ) is to help me get a position that I desire.
    4. Probably, my personal statement. I do not have great work experience in the field I want to get in, so my personal statement, which describes my personal qualities and my determination would be the strongest part of my e-portfolio.
    5. Evidence of education, work experience, personal and professional skills, awards and honor mentions.

  11. My e-portfolio will be directed to a possible employer and/or anyone interested in knowing my path and the goals that I have in my career.
It will show my Interdisciplinarity because it is a compilation of the work that I have done in the past, my informal education, my formal education and my experience in my actual job.
It shows my strengths because it is a summary of what I love to do and what I am good at.
The way I will show the evidence will be with the different artifacts that I have selected. That will be a way to demonstrate where I have been, what I know and where I want to go.

How do you envision your e-Portfolio looking like? What about it would you like to stand out?

I really don't know what it will look like. This whole class has been very confusing and I don't really even know the purpose of the e-portfolio. I had never heard of one before this class.

What kind of evidence are you planning to use in your e-portfolio?

The best evidence I can use is ME. Who I am, what I have done, and what I can offer are the best evidence I can offer.

I wish you the best of luck finding those interships, I am sure in magazines they need people with a lot of charisma and charm, I am sure that you will eventually gain all the necessary experience to be successful in that industry.
